January's Question
Where's the coolest place you've ever travelled for a race? |

Answered by
Denny Morrison
One of the best perks of being a speed skater is getting the opportunity to travel around the world to see new places, and new Ovals. The coolest oval that I have had the chance to compete at so far in my career is located in Norway. It was the location of the 1994 Olympic Games, and is named the "Vikingskipet", or the Viking Ship. It's called this because from the outside, the roof of the building looks like the hull of a viking ship, turned upside down. From the inside the whole thing is made of wood, also making it quite a cool thing to see.
